'Why would you train in this area'? Personally, I was always struggling with those difficult cases when a patient had such A-Symmetry in their breasts; no matter how many pre-draw, templating items I tried, rulers, stickers, string and DIY tools, sometimes the finished result was just slightly off somehow. I am being totally honest, and even the skilled artists with the most extensive portfolios will always have those tricky situations.

This is where the prosthetics can help massively, they can be such a brilliant aid for clients, they can place, move and really get a feel for the correct position before tattooing. As an artist, a newbie to Areola Tattooing or a veteran
Prosthetics - Medical Prosthesis
We have created this ONLINE training course so you can make, craft, and sell (or use in treatment) Areola Nipples.
Why would someone want or need these?
There are so many reasons why someone would like to have a prosthetic nipple or nipples made for wearing. Over the past 8 years, I have been lucky enough to have tattooed hundreds, if not thousands, of Nipples and Areolas for my clients. This service is available to everyone, anyone who has undergone surgery and needs a new nipple or part of or reworking a nipple.

BRCA or Genetic Mutation - this affects both women and men and means they have a very high percentage of getting Breast Cancer in their lives. To reduce the risk, they opt for elective surgery and the removal of the breasts. Many patients choose not to keep their nipples; this is where Tattooing and Prosthetics can help.

Following Mastectomy and Reconstruction, a person will be left without nipples if that is what the surgery requires. They then will need to recover and heal before any tattoo or surgical nipple can be made. This means patients can be left with blank boobies or chest for anything from 6 months to 12 months.

This is where the Prosthetics come into play...

Before Surgery - if the person has the chance, they can come and get a cast of their nipples. This will allow us to make prosthetics that will actually mimic their own.
For use in tattoo treatment
When we tattoo a patient, we use many different aids to help us select the correct location for the new nipples. My clients and I have found it really useful when using prosthetics in the mirror to see where the finished tattoos will be. We can also offer the prosthetics for the patient to use following tattooing for that extra 3D feel for special occasions. These will also be available for patients who would like to get used to nipples before their tattoo treatment.
